NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING: The Caton Fire District # 1 Board of Fire Commissioner's will hold a special meeting pertaining to a NEW BUILDING on Friday, February 26, 2021, 6 pm at the Caton Fire Hall.
There are two (2) Town Council (Board member) positions open for election on November 2, 2021. Town Board position is a 4-year term and will begin on January 1, 2022 and end December 31, 2025. Anyone running on a designating petition for an office that is up this year can begin getting signatures on March 2, 2021. Petitions must be filed at the Bath Board of Elections office by March 22 thru March 25, 2021. The number of signatures required for the designating petitions was reduced from 5% to 1.5 %-which for Town of Caton residents the amount of signatures required is 13. Candidates can pick up petition packets at Steuben County Board of Elections in Bath, or print out from the Steuben County website at: www.steubencony.org/boe. Caucuses-the first day to hold a town caucus is March 2, 2021. Last day to file a certificate of nomination from a party is July 22, 2021.
