NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Caton, Steuben County, New York, at a regular meeting thereof, held on September 10, 2014, elected to advertise the following requests out for bid:
Caton Park-flower bed weeding, freshen mulch, minor trimming, and shaping up of plants. Refresh play area with playground mulch and weed the playground area. Also, trim back encroaching brush and cut and remove dead or fallen trees near playground area and/or other areas as needed.Caton Park Pavilion #3-installation of a hand rail and replacing current cracked asphalt sidewalk. Mowing at Caton Park-mowing and trimming of grass regularly. Town Hall-mowing and trimming of grass regularly. Also, refreshing mulch around building. Cemeteries-mowing and trimming three cemeteries (Kelly Hill, Red School, Old Painted Post Baptist) up to four times per year.
Sealed bids shall be received at the Clerk’s Office at Caton Town Hall, 11161 Hendy Hollow Road, during regular business hours (M & Th-2 to 6 pm, Tue & Wed, 9 am to 1 pm & 1 to 5 pm on Fri).Bids will be opened and publically read on October 8, 2014, 6 pm at the regular monthly Board Meeting of the Caton Town Board. There will be a Special Meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Caton Fire District on September 19th @ 6 pm and September 22nd @ 6 pm at the Caton Fire Station-1118 Caton Road. All meetings of the Fire District are open to the public.

Low to moderate income individuals and families are invited to participate in a Mobile Food Pantry Distribution sponsored by Caton UMC in partnership with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier,. The distribution will be held on September 20th starting at 10 AM at the Caton United Methodist Church. Please bring your own bags or boxes. Call Linda Riley at 936-7828 with any questions.
