I think it is time for the Town to get together and show up at a town meeting. This is crazy the shape our roads are in and the money we pay!!!!

Pretty poor service of cleaning and making our roads safer after the latest storm. We had to cancel our doctor appointments yesterday because Deyo Road was too slippery. I've shared other issues on facebook, only to have the bottom of our driveway filled with snow (as punishment for complaining, I guess). I've seen others comment regarding the amount of taxes, and I so agree. Wouldn't mind the cost if we could get somebody does the job that needs to be done and doesn't spend every day just riding around in the truck that the taxpayers are paying for!!!

Really wish there was a way to find out why no oil was applied to dirt roads this year. What a horrible summer for this to happen. I've called, left a number, but no return call. I'm making it my mission to find out why.

I see a lot of pretty recent complaints about the roads in Caton. I happen to agree with all of you and I know several others do as well. The amount of taxes we pay our roads should all be paved in GOLD! I live on the upper end of Red School Road and have for well over 30 years. The road just continues to deteriorate. Its worse now than its ever been it was paved at one time until the current superintendent turned it into a dirt road again. I was out mowing and had to stop because the dust was so heavy I couldn't see. The current superintendent mailed out a card just before the last election to brag about all his schooling on roads. Well obviously Fred Flintstone was the instructor because the roads are horrendous. I talked to a neighbor on the lower end of Red School is disgusted as well. I am actively looking for a person to run in the next election. I think we all need to band together to get something done!

I live on Hurd Cross Rd. I’ve repeatedly asked for years to have the DOT of Caton to preform a permeant fix to our road conditions. It’s like driving over a lizards back attempting to get to my driveway. Now, my truck needs new struts. We pay a excessive amount of tax dollars in this town due to the value of our home. I shouldn’t have to continually call every year for the same old issues. PAVE OUR ROAD

I tried to get a new pipe at the end of my driveway for 8 months. I had to do it myself Highway dept was no help . Now the Highway dept uses my driveway as a turn around and puts ruts in it after asking them not to . I think it’s time to have them charged with truspass

I have lived in Caton 50+ years. I live about 100 yards west of Red School rd on Ginnan rd. Normaly, POT-HOLES
are filled in late winner or spring. This year they have been ignored and I count 60+ POT HOLES TO MY HOUSE. Are we
to maintain our roads or just ignore them?

pretty good size pot hole on east hill road in the lane going towards Caton. It's unavoidable if you stay in your lane. I ride a motor cycle and it bottoms out the shocks and hurts my back nearing every morning on the way to work. If you could please put some patch in it, it would be appreciated. It's between 11595 east hill and mid way up the hill. It leaves my back hurting every time. Hard to see it in the early AM since it's in a shadowed area. Thanks. Jeff 607-857-4109

When is the Ginnan Road going to see work done to it??? This is insane that we have to live in these conditions. I’m sure road work is an essential business!!!!

The ditches on the East side of Thurber Rd. could stand being cleaned from Caton Crest heading north. The ditches are now serpentining and threatening to undermine the road. Thank you for your concern in this matter.

The ditches on Thurber Road are creating a serpentine path and beginnng to undermine the road itself. You started cleaning the ditches below Caton Crest and stopped, could you please begin the project again by heading north. Thank you.

Amen. I agree with Sharla. We live on a self maintained road (because the town of Caton won’t take it over which is frustrating enough) off from Thurber Road. Thurber Road was a nightmare this weekend (2/8 and 2/9). It seems that if it’s not a weekday, Thurber Road is not treated. Why not? Taxes are so high. Is there not enough money to keep the roads safe for the community? It is ridiculous. Nobody will answer or return a call at the highway department.

Multiple accidents, on Thurber Rd tonight. For the amount of tax I pay in this town it is inexcusable that the roads are not cleaned and sanded. Where is the new road supervisor, roads are not being maintained!

What does it take to get our roads plowed and sanded this winter? Thurber Rd is all ice, 5 cars off the road and no sand

I’m a resident of Davis Road with three kids in the school district. The dirt portion of Davis is a safety hazard. I want someone who is paid to take care of our roads to come to my house and see what that road is like. My husband and I have REPEATEDLY tried to get someone from this department to contact us regarding this concern. No one does. I vote and I pay taxes...all of them. I intend to see something change about the condition of this road. I’ve left messages. Can someone please return my call. Aren’t you a public servant?
