CATON TAXPAYERS
2025 Town & County Tax Bills are now payable on-line (plus a fee) at the Town of Caton website by clicking on the PAY TAXES link. Also payable at the Town Clerk's Office on Monday & Thursday from 1 - 5 pm and Tuesday & Wednesday from 9 am to 12 noon. Taxes are payable at the Town Hall through March 31, 2025, after which they will be sent to the Steuben County Finance Department in Bath, NY, and may be paid there.
Need a copy of a Town & County tax bill? You can go back as far as 2007 on the "PAY TAXES" link above to view and print a copy.
Caton Town Clerks Office
Credit/Debit card and E-check now accepted to pay for dog licenses, hunting licenses, marriage licenses, building permits & for any purchase made in the Town Clerk's Office.
E-check surcharge is $2.50. Credit card surcharge for any item purchased up to $64 is $1.75 added to the card.
Credit card surcharge for any item purchased over $64 is 2.75% added to the card.
As always, you can still pay in person by check or in cash with no service fee.

LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF CATON 2024 AUD
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Caton Chief Fiscal Officer has completed and filed with the New York State Office of the State Comptroller, the Annual Financial Report for fiscal year ending Decembert 31, 2024 and that a copy of such report is available for inspection in the Toan of Caton Clerk's Office during regular office hours or by checking the Town Wed Site

2025 TAX BILLS
TOWN OF CATON TAX PAYERS- to any Caton tax payer that has already paid their bill: due to an error on the original bills that the vendor printed and mailed in January, they have sent out a second copy to most residents. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID YOUR TAX BILL(S) YOU ARE SAFE TO DISREGARD THE NEW BILL .
ELMWOOD CEMETERY MEETING
The Annual Meeting of the Elmwood Cemetery Association will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 10 am, at the Caton Town Hall. Lot owners are welcome to attend.
CATON FIRE DEPARTMENT CALENDARS
2025 Caton Fire Department Birthday date Calendars are are now available at the Town Clerk's Office for $10.00 each. Families can have their names with a birthday date, anniversary date or a memorial date printed on a calendar!
